We had some great Feedback from New Bridge Horizons

We recently awarded a grant to New Bridge Horizons to help them improve their kitchen which hugely benefits young people and their families. We are delighted to hear what they have been up to.

The independent living group (c. 30 young people) has been busy in the kitchen every day, working on their independent living skills. That means washing up and cleaning surfaces after meals, learning about kitchen safety and hygiene and making their own dinners at times. Typically, 6 young people use the space at once, with staff supporting them at all times.

From mid-September, as our spaces are reconfigured to accommodate new groups of younger students, even greater numbers of young people – approximately 190 – will benefit from the facility.
